Who needs HAZWOPER training?
This is a frequently misunderstood topic, and one which has lead to countless wasted hours in training that wasn't necessary, and fines for companies who missed needed training. Let's take a look at the HAZWOPER standard, and see exactly what it says.
The HAZWOPER standard is found in 29CFR1910.120. In this standard, OSHA lays out exactly who must have training, how much training they must have, what areas the training must cover, and what qualifications the trainer must meet. Unfortunately, as is the norm for government documents, the language used can be a bit hard to follow.
To make things easier for you, we've prepared a simple table that outlines the training requirements set by OSHA for different activities, and included links to some of our products that will help you meet those requirements.
