One morning I arrived at work and was immediately asked to join my boss in his office. This is always a curiosity because I never know what new idea he wants to run by me. However, there’s always the looming thought of what if floating around my subconscious. Perhaps a holdover from my misadventures in the food service industry. Instead he asked me a simple question that brought with it a not so simple answer.
“We’re doing so many great things, why doesn’t the world know about them?”
Thus began a new project. He had heard me mention that we could utilize social media to get the word out, but hadn’t taken it into serious consideration until then. That day he agreed to allow me to open the proverbial can of worms and begin this journey. Out of those early conversations, while meeting and brainstorming with our VP of Technology, Project Amplified Voices was birthed into the Training Solutions Inc. family.
Project Amplified Voices
I work with talented individuals with expertise in the field of training. Everything from Radworker, Hazwoper, Human Performance Improvement, to Leadership and the Development of individualized training certifications and programs. When an earthquake shook Fukushima,
setting into motion a radiological incident that is continuing to be a threat to many, I knew that they had something to say about it. And say something they did. Only not in a way that would reach anyone other than those in close proximity. Their voices should be heard and not just by those of us who happen to benefit from their knowledge.
Everyone has a Voice
Project Amplified Voices is our company’s effort to create a platform for those voices to be heard and responded to. The implementation of social media tools like LinkedIn, Twitter and this blog will enable us to amplify our voices and allow us to share our collective years of knowledge and experience, ultimately providing useful information that isn’t limited by physical contact. I couldn’t be more thrilled!Look for future posts from our Radiation Expert, our Leadership Coach and others. Thank you for visiting the Training Matters blog and welcome to our adventure. We hope you enjoy the ride.
